Thanksgiving

My first Thanksgiving ever! I only knew it from movies, so I was curious how it would be! But for me it wasn't something extremly special, I had a great time, but for me it was just like another reason to have the possibility to celebrate together in the family, mixed with a harvest festival.
The turkey was good though, I have never seen a bird like that in full size in a pan. Our one weighed about 22 pounds. Very nice was also, that I got to celebrate it twice. Somebody from work invited me on the day after to celebrate it with his crowd, because he had worked on Thanksgiving day. We had a great time!

Mein erstes Thanksgiving! Ich kannte es nur von den Filmen, folglich war ich gespannt wie es in echt sein wuerde! Aber fuer mich war es nur wie ein normales Familienfest gemischt mit Erntedank und Truthahn. Das soll nicht heissen dass ich nicht eine gute Zeit hatte, im Gegenteil! Dieser war aber gut und auch eindruecklich, ich hatte noch nie so einen grossen Vogel am Stueck in einer Pfanne gesehen. Unser Truthahn war etwa 10 kilogramm schwer! Was sehr schoen war, war dass mich jemand von unserer Arbeit sogar noch am Tag danach zu seinem Fest eingeladen hat, Thanksgiving hoch 2! Wir hatten eine super Zeit!
